I wrote a new novel... in 30 days

I did NaNoWriMo last month and wrote an entire novel—117,934 words—in 30 days. I had a blast; it was so much fun... :)

I totally love my new novel. I'll be doing some editing and playing around with it some more before I'm ready to publish it.

An interesting thing happened on my way through the month-long noveling journey—an idea for another book was born from this one... a "how-to" for writing a novel in 30 days.

My mom just told me that I'm going to be in her new book.

I'm doing the happy dance—I'm so happy that I'm dancing around in circles and I can't stop my tail from wagging.

I'm going to be in the book!!!!! Woof!!!

Serendipity

So I was at the store yesterday returning a printer that was broken. I'd paid for it with a charge card, so the refund naturally went back on my card. But what I didn't expect was that when the cashier gave me the receipt, she also gave me a coupon for $1.00 off a box of instant coffee—mocha latte.

Pretty amazing since I'd just decided to name my main character "Mocha Latte" a few days ago for the new novel I'm writing. Seems like the Universe was saying I'm on the right track.

I love when things like this happen...
