 An interesting thing happened on my way to writing a novel. I heard about a writing challenge—writing a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. I thought it would be fun to do, just to see what would happen.

What happened was I wrote a 117,934-word novel in 30 days... Novel Quest. It offers a humorous look at writers writing a 50,000-word novel in 30 days, along with a kahuna quest, time morphing, the power of wishes, the reality of imagination, and finding the magic inside the words.

And then, somehow, as if by magic, the blog—and the books—started to grow. 30-Day Novel grew out of the novel, and then another book started to grow...

We all have magic inside us. Words can bring forth that magic; words can show us things and take us places we never dreamed of.

The purpose of this blog—and my books—is to share the magic of writing and show you how you can find the magic of words within yourself.
